The AS Chemistry Course at Aquinas College is based on the OCR examining board's Syllabus A as from September 2008. It is an exciting and innovative way of both teaching and learning Chemistry. Until the A2 is based on the OCR Salters scheme and will change to OCR Chemistry A in September 2009.
Chemistry is the science of materials. It is about gases, liquids and solids; how they interact and how they may be made. Think about fuels, plastics, pesticides and drugs; fireworks, and explosives how they are made using the skills and knowledge of chemists.
